Also this year a student joined the lab for a work experience placement within the Education Business Partnership, this time from the William Lovell Church of England Academy, Stickney, Lincolnshire.

A paper titled “Botulinum protease-cleaved SNARE fragments induce cytotoxicity in neuroblastoma cells” has been published on the June issue of Journal of Neurochemistry. See this link for more information.
A paper on a synthetic self-assembling clostridial chimera for modulation of sensory functions has been published in Bioconjugate Chemistry and it is featured on the cover of October 2013 issue. The work reported here was a real challenge and it involved 22 authors distributed in 11 different institutes.
A paper titled “Stapling of the botulinum type A protease to growth factors and neuropeptides allows selective targeting of neuroendocrine cells” has been published in the Journal of Neurochemistry (link)
